Movie Rating:
4 stars

When a serial killer indicates that his next target is the Miss United States beauty pageant, the F.B.I. decides that they must get an undercover agent as a participant in the contest. A search uncovers no suitable candidate other than a bumbling female agent. Reluctantly, her captain agrees to let her join the team working the case. The team is led by a womanizing agent who has an apparent reluctant attraction to Bullock's character. She enters as Miss New Jersey, replacing a contestant who was discovered to have acted in a porno film. The pageant managers are immediately aghast about the agent appearing in the pageant, but arrange a top handler to come give her a quick makeover, with the expected outstanding results. Unfortunately, she still is bumbling. When the killer is suddenly caught, everything seems to be over, except the female agent tries to convince her boss that something is still not right. She has discovered that the pageant managers are being dismissed after 21 years for younger people, and Bergen's character may not be as solid as she seems on the surface. (Source: IMDB)

Megan's Movie Review:
I loved this movie! I really like Sandra Bullock, she is my favorite actress definitely! I just enjoyed how this movie was so funny and entertaining. Sandra was hilarious playing this role as a 'tom-boy'. I loved the attitude that she put into her character and all around it was just a good funny movie! I haven't seen another movie like it yet.

Any comments?

Megan's Movie Review:
This is another movie I was not sure what it was really about and it surprised me with the story. I really love this director M. Night Shyamalan. He always has such interesting movies. I loved The Village and Signs. This movie was just as interesting. It seems like it would be freaky, but its not. It has a few frightening parts. It is not fast paced but the story line is entertaining. But personally this would be a scary/weird bedtime story to tell your children. Apparently, if you watch some of the bonus features where M. Night Shyamalan talks about how this movie came about, it was a story he started telling his children. But other than that, I really liked Mr. Heep and the chinese girl. She was so cute and funny in her own little way and she reminded me a little bit (because of her hair sometimes) of Rufio from the movie Hook (haha). I really liked this movie. It's different for sure though.

Am I crazy to like this strange odd movie?! :)

Megan's Movie Review:
I had never seen a preview for this movie but when I was dating my now husband at the time, he told me it was a good movie. We watched it and I ended up really liking it! This movie wasn't what I expected it to be, and I believe that is what made it is so good. I like how you don't really understand what is going on at first and piece by piece it comes together, and then you have to keep watching it because you need to know how they are ever going to get out of this mess. I also really like Ewan McGregor as an actor. As a side note, one of my favorite movies he has done is Big Fish. One of my all time favorite movies. Anyways, this is a good action packed movie that keeps you wanting to know what will happen next. The storyline is in the future so it is a little sci-fi but I don't mind those kind of movies. For someone like me who doesn't have much of an imagination, I like movies like this where it can think of weird interesting things like this for you.

Good movie... has anyone else seen this?

The Game Plan

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson picks up the pigskin once again for this sports-themed family comedy concerning a football superstar who abandons the gridiron to answer the call of fatherhood. Joe Kingman (Johnson) was a star quarterback destined for greatness; not only is the Boston-based team he plays for well on their way to the championships, but he's got all the money and fame that a man could want out of life. A perpetual bachelor whose one brief marriage ended many moons ago, Kingman is stunned to learn that a long-forgotten youthful fling had more permanent consequences than he ever anticipated. Now, just as his career is set to blow up bigger than ever, this perpetual bachelor learns that he has a seven-year-old daughter named Peyton (Madison Pettis). So how does a lifelong jock who's used to partying all night and dropping 20-yard bombs all day adjust to a life of ballet classes, Barbie dolls, and afternoon play dates? Whatever road he chooses to take, it certainly won't be easy, especially since his ruthless, goal-oriented agent, Stella, would rather see her client scoring touchdowns than cementing familial bonds. Starring: Dwayne Johnson, Madison Pettis

Megan's Movie Review:
I am beginning to really like Dwayne Johnson as an actor. To me, at first I didn't think he was that great of an actor. But now, I actually look forward to seeing his movies. He did a really good job in this movie portraying a conceited guy who is obsessed with him. And how he was a terrible dad at first, but he ends up being a good dad who would do anything for his kid. This is a good family film and I would recommend seeing it.

Megan's Movie Review:
Based on a true story, I really liked it! It is kind of a slow movie at some parts, but it was really good. I really liked the romance and the girl was really cute & sweet. The war/plane fighting was entertaining and I can't imagine having to go to war and fight the way they did. The black guy was pretty cool and it was too bad that he couldn't fly for the US Airforce. I definitely liked the fact that it was based on a true story though. The ending was sad because he never found the girl after the war. But sometimes life isn't fair right?

Megan's Movie Review:
This was better than I thought it would be. I actually was unsure about even renting this movie because I thought it would be too little kiddish for me. The movie was actually pretty funny and cute. I really liked the main character, he was cute for being a nerd haha! This is something I would recommend to families with kids and even the parents would enjoy it too. The only thing is that it made me feel more sick to my stomach because I'm pregnant and I couldn't stand watching all the nasty food fall out of the sky. I just had to ignore it and not think about the food so literally.

Megan's Movie Review:
I was so disappointed with this movie!!!!!! This is based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks and I have never read it but I should've known it was going to be sad. This could've been a good movie (3 1/2 stars, maybe) up until the end and when you find out what happened. At the very beginning of the movie John gets shot and is thinking about coins and goes into detail about why he was remembering them. Then he says the last thing he thought about was 'you'. I assumed, and as I'm sure most people did, that it was about the girl that we would soon get to know in the movie. Come to find out, it is about his dad who has Asperger's and he never had a good relationship with him. Then in the middle of the movie, his dad has a stroke and ends up dying, but before he dies, John read this letter to him. He tells his dad what he thought about when he was shot and that was coins, and the last thing he thought about was his dad. That was the only part I liked in the movie, because he finally understood why his father was the way he was, and he loved him, and he told him that he loved him. Now, between John and Savannah, it could've been a really good love story! But because they were separated for so long, she ends up finding another guy and gets married to him. It's not who you would expect, and I definitely don't think she should've married him and I thought her reasoning was dumb. It was more like she pitied him and married this man. Stupid... The guy she married was ugly and old. John was perfect for her and he loved her more than anything. He would've waited for her. Poor John... Also (sorry I know I've blabbed a lot on this movie), the man she ends up marrying dies in the end, and John and Savannah see each other a few years later. That's where the movie ends. So you don't know if they end up together in the future. Its just left with them seeing each other and hugging and that's it! What kind of ending is that?!

Megan's Movie Review:
I really liked this movie a lot! It had a lot of action to it, and some good fight scenes! At first, I didn't know how Jake Gyllenhaal would do in this kind of a movie, but he turned out to do really good. He was like a little Aladdin with all his cool moves and escaping all the bad guys. There were some parts in the movie that were pretty cheesy. One part for instance was when it was at the end of the movie, and they are fighting the bad guys, Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton stop in the middle and have a smooch! I'm like... okay, is this really the time?! They should not be kissing right now! She kind of bugged me a little in her acting. It almost seemed too dramatic for me. But whatever, the whole storyline was good, and it was very entertaining. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It's definitely one of my new favorites.

Robin Hood

Birth of a legend. Following King Richard's death in France, archer Robin Longstride, along with Will Scarlett, Alan-a-Dale and Little John, returns to England. They encounter the dying Robert of Locksley, whose party was ambushed by treacherous Godfrey, who hopes to facilitate a French invasion of England. Robin promises the dying knight he will return his sword to his father Walter in Nottingham. Here Walter encourages him to impersonate the dead man to prevent his land being confiscated by the crown, and he finds himself with Marian, a ready-made wife. Hoping to stir baronial opposition to weak King John and allow an easy French take-over, Godfrey worms his way into the king's service as Earl Marshal of England and brutally invades towns under the pretext of collecting Royal taxes. Can Robin navigate the politics of barons, royals, traitors, and the French? (Source: IMDB)

Megan's Movie Review:
This was a good movie. I wasn't terribly in awe about it. I did like the story because it is one that you don't normally hear about. But see, before I went and saw this I wasn't too thrilled to see it in the first place because I didn't feel like they needed to make another Robin Hood. That was before I found out it was the story of before Robin Hood became who he was. I love the movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner and I didn't feel like it was old enough to have a new one made. But back to this movie, it was good and I liked it. I would go see the sequel if they make another one. It was definitely more serious but it had some pretty good battle scenes. I don't know why, I wish I liked it more, and I tried going into this movie with an open mind, but I still like the old Robin Hood better (even though it was a different story).

Megan's Movie Review:
This movie was an average funny romance. It had some funny parts in it, but it wasn't die for hilarious. I did like the part where she took a pregnancy test and the little girl took the stick from her. You will have to watch it because it was funny and I don't want to ruin it for anyone. But ugh, I would've been so bugged at that little girl! If you are into the comedy romance movies, you would enjoy this one.

Now, Jack, Barbossa, Will, Elizabeth, Tia Dalma, and crew must call the Pirate Lords from the four corners of the globe, including the infamous Sao Feng, to gathering. The Pirate Lords want to release the goddess Calypso, Davy Jones's damned lover, from the trap they sent her to out of fear, in which the Pirate Lords must combine the 9 pieces that bound her by ritual to undo it and release her in hopes that she will help them fight. Megan's Movie Review:
I also had mixed feelings about this movie when it first came out. I think I liked the second one better than this one. Well, like 20 minutes before the movie ended I had said I liked this movie better than Dead Man's Chest... But then it ended with Will Turner dying and having to cut out his heart and he couldn't even be with his girl. Only once every ten years. How stupid. One other thing I thought was stupid, was how Keira Knightley played such a big role in this film. I'm sorry.. That was dumb. I didn't like how she became captain and was up on pirate ships making speeches that were to inspire the pirates. The pirates should have slapped her and told her to shut up. (I don't mean literally). But then again, it had a good story line with going to get Jack back, and fighting the East India Trading Company. Lord Beckett was a good bad guy. He was a little twirp and you hated him for that, and that makes him good. The battle scenes were always cool to watch. Captain Barbosa is definitely one of my favorite characters throughout the whole series. And the more I watch it now, the more I like it. Just the ending still gets me. Why couldn't it have been Captain Jack Sparrow who stabbed the heart before Will was stabbed?

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Once again we're plunged into the world of sword fights and "savvy" pirates. Captain Jack Sparrow is reminded he owes a debt to Davy Jones, who captains the flying Dutchman, a ghostly ship, with a crew from hell. Facing the "locker" Jack must find the heart of Davy Jones but to save himself he must get the help of quick-witted Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan. If that's not complicated enough, Will and Elizabeth are sentenced to hang, unless will can get Lord Cutler Beckett Jack's compass, Will is forced to join another crazy adventure with Jack. Megan's Movie Review:
I was very excited to see this movie when it came out but when I watched it in theaters, I remember being a little disappointed. I think it was because I didn't put into my mind that this is a sequel and it's not going to be as original as the first movie. Sometimes if you do that, the second movie isn't usually disappointing. But now that I've watched it a few more times since it's been out, I enjoy it and like it more. Davy Jones is pretty cool and scary. The only thing I was upset about was, the stupid romance between Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann. They are so dumb. And I hate how directors put stuff like that into movies, it only stresses me out. Why can't they be happy and still in love?? But no.. They have to make Elizabeth fall for Caption Jack Sparrow for no good reason. And she kissed him in the end. She doesn't deserve Will Turner.

This is another one of my personal favorites. My husband and I had a "pirates" kick and watched all three 'Pirates' movies this last weekend. I remember when I first saw this movie in theaters it was the greatest movie that I had ever seen at the time. I loved, like I still love it. It is so original and I had never seen another movie like it. Johnny Depp is hilarious and you just love his character. He was perfect for the part. This has to be one of the best Disney action/adventure movies I've ever seen. I also love the music in it. Again, it is so original and different but cool!

LOVED. I loved this movie! I really love all animation films, well.. most of them. I shouldn't say all. This was so cute and funny! After the movie, I wanted my own black dragon. :) It had some very hilarious parts in the movie that keeps you entertained. I liked how the dragons all had their own personal image to our world now-a-days. For instance one of them looked like a parrot, and another looked like a fat catepillar. Which I find funny because they are supposed to be fierce dragons, not fat catepillars. If this doesn't make sense, you need to watch the movie to know what I'm talking about. Overall though, it is one of my favorite movies and I want it when it comes out.

I loved this movie more than the first! It was so cool! And (I find this funny) but I liked the bad guy! Those cool electrical whip things were freakin sweet and I kind of wished Iron Man had some of his own to abuse the bad guys with. Again, Robert Downey Jr. was very funny. You really can't help but like him. I love Gwyneth Paltrow. I think she is so pretty and sweet! Scarlett Johansson played a good role in this movie too. I thought from the previews she would've been with the bad guys but she wasn't and she was cool! If you went and saw this movie in theaters, (I won't spoil it and tell you) but there was a scene after the credits. Oh, one other thing I would like to say is that I wish they wouldn't have changed the actors for his best friend. I think Don Cheadle did an okay job, but Terrence Howard would've been better.

Megan's Movie Review:
Let's just say if you think you cried hard in 'Marley and Me' then you might (or might not) want to watch this movie. For me, I didn't cry in 'Marley and Me'. It was a good movie but the dog dies of old age, like all dogs do. It is a sad thing and I did get choked up a bit, but I did not bawl. Watching this movie, I don't know if its because I'm pregnant, but I bawled my eyes out. I had to hide my face from my husband because I was so embarassed. It was a good-sad movie. If you like sad movies, you oughta watch this. The part that made me the most sad was when his master dies and Hachi still goes back to the train station EVERY DAY for a total of 10 years (9 years in real life) to wait for his master. We also watched some of the special features on the dvd and the whole crew from the movie kept saying how they felt that this movie was about loyalty. Yes.. to me it kind of was. But I felt it was more about love.. And remembering to love those who you have lost. To also cherish them and remember them. It was good, but it was sad. Maybe I'm just a big baby and no one else cried in this movie! Let me know!

Then one week into their marriage, they have issues and fights, and he hits her again, so they split up and go get with other people to make each other jealous. They both cheat on one another... Then they end up getting back together in the end after months of being separated. It was rather stupid.

This movie has all sorts of fairy tale creatures and some are hilarious. And I just found out that Heidi Krum was one of the giants and it made me laugh! I watched this movie on tv when I was pretty sick so that might have something to do with my opinion. I liked it, but it wasn't great, niether was it bad. It was kinda funny to watch Patrick Dempsey being so young in this film. It did have some stupid parts in the movie that I didn't appreciate. Such as the sexual comments. Now it was edited on tv so I think some parts were edited out but still it was too much sometimes. It was also cute how the guy gets the girl in the end and she likes him even though he might be a little bit of a nerd.

Megan's Movie Review:
Another fun family film! It was pretty funny and my favorite character was Rover who was just the NASA probe. He was so cute! It had a good moral to the story and I would definitely think kids would be entertained by this movie. This would be a good movie to sit down with your family and watch for some family time. I have come to like Dwayne Johnson more and more in movies. He might not be the greatest actor but whenever I see him in an upcoming movie, I look forward to it. I think he is pretty funny and he played the human really well. It's worth a watch!

Megan's Movie Review:
This movie had some big actors in it and I personally thought it would've and could've been better. The mystery part of the story was really good, but there was something about it that I just didn't really think was great. It seemed sort of long and a little slow. The story was entertaining though. Also, Russell Crowe looked too fat. I don't know why it bothered me but he seemed almost like a different person. And the hair was awful. I love Rachel McAdams. I've said that before but I think she is a good actress. Another thing that I felt was kind of dumb was that these guys were just reporters and they were acting like they were the detectives. Like the police wouldn't get a hold of the information first! I know, it's just a movie, but still.. If they were trying to make it realistic, then make it seem realistic. There were a few good suspenseful parts in the movie. The bad guy scared me when he came after Russell Crowe in the parking lot. Overall, it was alright.

Remember the Titans

In the early 1970s, two schools in Alexandria Virginia integrate forming T.C. Williams High School. The Caucasian head coach of the Titans is replaced by an African American coach from North Carolina. Tensions arise when players of different races are forced together on the same football team. Many of these tensions are eased during the two-week training camp in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. When players returned to Alexandria the players found the city in turmoil due to the forced desegregation of the high school. As the season progresses the team's success caused the community to accept the changes. After the Titans' perfect season, the team and the city were closer than ever. (Source: IMDB)

Starring: Denzel Washington, Will Patton

Megan's Movie Review:
Personally, I loved this movie. I think it is one of the greatest sports movies ever. The fact that it was a true story makes it more inspiring. When they are at training camp and you see all the problems they go through, it makes you realize how we're not that much different from one another. No matter what color, or race, or even your personality, we all deserve to have someone get to know the real you. That's what's important. I like inspirational movies like this because they motivate you to do good, and in this case, not judge others, and accept everyone as they are. This was also just a cool sports movie! You get so excited when they kick butt and they win their games. One of my favorite parts was when the team comes out doing their new "warm-up." It gets you all pumped up!

When they reach the base they discover Wright is part machine and suspect that he was sent by Skynet but Wright claims that's not true. (Source: IMDB)

Starring: Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin
Released: May 2009

Megan's Movie Review:
I've only watched the other Terminator movies on tv and they were pretty good. But this was better! It had more cool action in it, and it seemed more real but then again it was made in the 2000's and not the 1980's like the others. Even if you didn't watch the other movies and watched this, it is still pretty easy to follow, and it gets you wondering how things will work out. I have come to really like Sam Worthington, and I look forward to his other movies. If you like cool, action, sci-fi movies, this would be the one for you. I loved it a lot! The more I watch it, the more I like it.

Romeo + Juliet

Two households both alike in dignity, In fair Verona where we lay our scene. From forth the fatal loins of these two foes, A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life. (Source: IMDB)

Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Claire Danes

Megan's Movie Rating:
I had watched this movie long time ago with my friend, but I didn't remember it, and I was too young to really care. Now re-watching it, I liked it a lot! It's a modern Romeo & Juliet, but it still has that sweet romance to it. I really liked Leonardo, he's cute! Haha.. Even though I'm Shakespeare illiterate, you get the point of the movie, and it is still romantic!!

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

Darren is smitten with the spider and returns to steal her. When Steve is bitten by her, only Mr. Crepsley has an antidote to her poison. Megan's Movie Review:
Well... This was a little different from what I'd thought it be. First of all, I thought it would be more for kids, just by the look of the preview, but it's definitely not. Well, the kids need to be older before they watch this. It was an alright movie. Maybe a little weird. I wanted to see it because of the kid, Josh Hutcherson, who is from Bridge to Terabithia. I liked that movie, and I thought he was a cute kid. It was interesting. I don't know what the movie reviews are or if they are doing sequels to this. They are based on a series of books, so we'll see. It did have a few funny parts in it.

Megan's Movie Review:
This is definitely one of my FAVORITE movies of all-time!! Some people might disagree, but I don't get it! I really had no idea what this movie was about when we went to go see it in theaters. It was so cute and funny, some parts I couldn't stop giggling in. The dog, Dug, is my favorite character. He reminds me of my dog and does the exact same things she does. I love the story behind it! I know it is sad at first when Ellie dies because you don't expect it, but what good movie doesn't have something sad in it?? That's what captures your attention and you need to know how he is going to get through this situation. It was super cute, I love it, and I could watch it over and over again!
