The Island

Star Rating:
4 stars
Lincoln Six-Echo is a resident of a seemingly Utopian but contained facility in the year 2019. Like all of the inhabitants of this carefully controlled environment, Lincoln hopes to be chosen to go to the "The Island" - reportedly the last uncontaminated spot on the planet. But Lincoln soon discovers that everything about his existence is a lie. He and all of the other inhabitants of the facility are actually human clones. Lincoln makes a daring escape with a beautiful fellow resident named Jordan Two-Delta. Relentlessly pursued by the forces of the sinister institute that once housed them, Lincoln and Jordan engage in a race for their lives to literally meet their makers. (Source: IMDB)

Megan's Movie Review:
I had never seen a preview for this movie but when I was dating my now husband at the time, he told me it was a good movie. We watched it and I ended up really liking it! This movie wasn't what I expected it to be, and I believe that is what made it is so good. I like how you don't really understand what is going on at first and piece by piece it comes together, and then you have to keep watching it because you need to know how they are ever going to get out of this mess. I also really like Ewan McGregor as an actor. As a side note, one of my favorite movies he has done is Big Fish. One of my all time favorite movies. Anyways, this is a good action packed movie that keeps you wanting to know what will happen next. The storyline is in the future so it is a little sci-fi but I don't mind those kind of movies. For someone like me who doesn't have much of an imagination, I like movies like this where it can think of weird interesting things like this for you.

Good movie... has anyone else seen this?
